STEP 01
Discovery
This is where it begins every time. We start with a real conversation during our initial discovery call. I want to understand your brand, goals, the visual narrative you’re looking to create, and how the images will actually be used.
STEP 02
Pre-Production
Where the magic happens. In this stage, pre-production and production take place. We refine the visual strategy, develop mood boards, shot lists, location scouting, etc. I handle the logistics so shoot day runs smooth, not scrambled.
Milestone
Shoot Day
A day that is collaborative, not chaotic. I bring the technical craft and creative eye; you bring the vision for your brand. I keep communication open throughout so there are no surprises.
STEP 03
Delivery
The finale. Post-processing (retouching) commences (if applicable). I then present the final files to you (the client) on a gallery reveal call and get final approval. I typically like to end this stage with a wrap call and project retro whenever possible.

I blend my capabilities in photography and visual strategy with my knowledge and experience in business and product strategy. This comes from a 10 year career in software development and strategy consulting primarily for retail & CPG, eCommerce and banking organizations.

Dane, do you work with a team?
Great question! This is on a case-by-case basis. Some projects require just me. Sometimes an assistant. When a team is needed though, I have some great creative partners (HMUA, stylists, etc.) that I can recommend and assemble as needed.
We've signed a contract, now what?
I schedule a pre-production call, and provide you with a Welcome Guide for onboarding and expectations. Depending on the project, I may create a dashboard in Google Docs so that you have easy monitoring for project progress.

I absolutely love when my clients are involved, so don’t hesitate to reach out with your questions or ideas. Please be mindful of time though. I'm available from 9am - 5:30pm. Keep in touch and I will get back to you asap in a timely manner.
Do You use a retoucher?
For larger volume projects where budget is allocated, yes.
For smaller jobs, I handle it. My retouching aesthetic focuses on natural looking skin rather than an airbrushed aesthetic.
What is your vibe on set?
Calm and a touch goofy. I'm serious about the details and producing a strong result. But I also believe in operating a relaxed set where everyone can thrive and be great. I personally believe that yields a better and less taxing work environment.
